In your clarification, it says you both have and don't have a HDD, which is information technology?

Hi, I take had the same problem with a brand new Xbox 360 game yesterday! It's just dance 3 on kinetic and pulled it straight out of the packet and says "disc unreadable" error code 03-08-00.
I proceeded with a disc make clean then a cache so Xbox support said information technology was my hard drive. So the disc plays without the hard drive but when I transferred my storage to a memory stick and put that in with no hard bulldoze it says disc unreadable once more.
The disc plays on my brothers xbox 360 and all of my other games work so I was boggled. So information technology'south non the disc. Not my hard drive.
I did some research and establish out many people have been having this aforementioned trouble! They have narrowed information technology downwardly to the latest piracy update on the Xbox 360.
Then Microsoft needs to get their act together and do an emergency update to prepare this or at that place will exist a lot up unhappy customers! I have sent a complaint via phone and this is my online one and then everyone with this trouble needs to exercise so. The PS3 is the way to get if you lot love watching DVDs, and Hd gaming or get online. And the XBox 360 slime is the mode to go if you take a desire for clear version gaming.

just a thought. effort backing up any important files on you wink retentivity and reformat. see if that fixes it.

Attempt borrowing a HDD and see if that makes a difference.

Aye I reformatted when I transferred all my data over to a memory stick and yes still didn't piece of work. Havnt tried another hard drive in my Xbox. I don't think it would make a difference but could attempt it.

Attempt what alt said. It may rule out a possible HDD malfunction. Also try saving to an external device similar a USB flash drive.

I know this post is old, but maybe someone might meet it. Some games give problems like this when loading from the "My Home" slide or whatever it is called. If, instead, yous go to the "My Games" screen and look for your game and hit (X) for "More than Game Details"... and then striking "Play Game"... it will usually strength the load through.
I had this problem with Skyrim and another game... I forget whether information technology was Oblivion GOTY or Fallout three. Anyway... it's a fiddling hassle, but nothing too serious to be lazy about. All games should work perfectly... some don't.

I ran into the same problem with skyrim, and afterward ALOT of excavation and testing, I found there are multiple reasons (at to the lowest degree in my example):
one. Certain locations in game could create decadent saves when you salvage thereThese saves themselves would yield the dirty/damaged disk error. Even subsequently I deleted the salvage the error would persist. At the time I used a 4gb flashdrive for storage, so I removed it and the game would play. However, I besides had no other device for storage so I cleared the cache, and like you said, temporary fix. I then decided besides wait at the contents of the flash drive on my computer and found an "invisible" file that was the corrupt skyrim salvage. Upon deletion skyrim ran wonderfully.
ii. Flash drive didn't meet xbox operation recommendations (a message will alert you of this problem when you format it on the xbox).
3. Dusty disk drive.If you or your family fume this may be the case. Merely blow information technology out with a trivial absurd air and it should exist fine (Nintendo cartridges anyone?).
